District Attorney, Earnie Lee confirms plans to seek death penalty in Mariah Woods case after grand jury indictment.
Mariah woods was killed on 27 November by live-in boyfriend, Earl Kimrey. She was later found in the bottom of a creek in Pender Count NC on 2 December, and transferred for autopsy.
Autopsy and toxicology results found that Mariah had been murdered by chloroform poisoning- one of many chemicals used in the manufacture of illegal street methamphetamie.
No charges have been announced against Mariah’s mother, Kristy Hunter, and no indications have been offered if she is considered a suspect, or cooperating with the prosecution against Kimrey under plea deal.
