A Superior Court Judge has granted a order from the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office preventing the public to obtain “The 911 call audio recording(s) regarding the disappearance of Mariah Woods, a minor child.”
In the order from the Onslow County Sheriff’s Department, it says, the releasing of the recording(s) and transcript(s) would “jeopardize the right of the State to prosecute any potential defendant(s) thereto, would undermine the active, wide-ranging, and ongoing investigation into said disappearance, and would gravely interfere with the proper administration of justice.”
The order comes days after News In Onslow, attempted to obtain those “public records” recordings and announced over the air, that we requested them.
Judge Ebern Watson, granted the “Ex Parte Petition Seeking To Prevent Disclosure Of 911 call audio recording(s). “
The order was granted November 4, 2017
