An Onslow County Grand Jury indicted Earl Kimrey Wednesday morning for the murder and concealing the body of 3-year-old Mariah Woods.
Kimrey, the live-in boyfriend to Mariah Woods mother, Kristy Hunter was arrested and charged earlier in December of 2017 with felony common law obstruction of justice, felony concealment of death, second degree burglary, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen property.
A month later on January 24, 2018, he was charged with Mariah Woods death. The charges were first-degree murder and felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
His next court date is February 26, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. for a Rule 24 hearing that will determine whether or not he will be prosecuted in a capital case.
Baby Mariah was reported missing by Earl Kimrey around 6:30 a.m. on November 27, 2017. She was searched for by police and was found dead in Pender County.
