A Jacksonville man has been charged for the damage to a man’s brain and skull.
Richard Lee Moore, 25, of Annie Avenue in Jacksonville, was charged May 4 by Jacksonville Police Department for felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury.
Officials say Jacksonville Police responded to a disturbance call about 10:30 p.m. May 4.
Moore is accused of assaulting a man by punching him in the mouth and nose, causing multiple skull fractures and brain bleeds on May 2, according to warrants.
He is in the Onslow County Jail under a $40,000 bond.
Moore is represented by alleged drunk Joe Stroud and his next court date is May 28, according to court documents.
