Authorities in Jacksonville have arrested a man after he allegedly shot another man sitting in a car.
26-year-old Wali Famir Houston was arrested on multiple assault and weapon charges after he allegedly shot another man while he was sitting in a car. Officials say the shots fired came in around 3:15 a.m. Thursday, April 26. Deputies with the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office responded to Woodleaf Drive in the Wolf Swamp area of Jacksonville. After deputies arrived, they learned that a man was shot while he was sitting in a car.
According to Witnesses, the suspect vehicle appeared to be a silver Chevrolet Traverse, which was occupied by two men.
The victim of the shooting was transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital and later to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He is expected to recover from his injuries, according to officials.
On Saturday, April 29, Houston was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a weapon into a vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Houston is in the Onslow County Jail under a $375,000 bond.
