Matt Damon and his family are moving to Australia-in part because the liberal stars are fed up with President Donald Trump.
Damon, 47, reported that he has purchased some property in Byron Bay, New South Wales, according to Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph. His new home is next door to a place owned by Chris Hemsworth – who Damon recently appeared in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
According to Page Six, a source told them “Matt’s telling friends and colleagues in Hollywood that he’s moving the family to Australia” because the activist actor disagrees with Trump’s policies. Now, if you’ve been in the recent news, Trump had it out with liberal Hollywood A-Listers. “Matt’s saying the move will not impact his work – as he will travel to wherever his projects are shooting. He’s also telling friends he wants to have a safe place to raise his kids.”
It’s being reported that Damon also will be allowing some controversy to die down after he had made some very insensitive comments about the sexual assault allegations in Hollywood.
He’s producing a film version of Agatha Christie’s “Witness for the prosecution”.
