A Jacksonville teenager responsible for Jacksonville High School lockdown this morning has been arrested.
It was around 8:45 a.m. when News In Onslow, was aware about a local school, Jacksonville High School being placed on lockdown for unknown reasons.
Jacksonville Police received reports about a weapon in the possession of a student around 8:00 a.m.
Officers responded and investigated the report and arrested one man but according to witnesses four was arrest. We cant confirm if those other three were being questioned or not at this time.
Police say they arrested Clarence Dwyer Lamb Jr., 17, of Jacksonville.
He was taken into custody and charged with resist, obstruct, delay of a public officer and weapon on educational property.
Students told their parents that a gang-fight broke out yesterday, and that was the reason for the weapon being brought to school.
Officials haven’t said what kind of weapon was found on Lamb but students say it was a “shotgun.”
His bond is set for $2,500.
