Two men arrested after shooting inside occupied home with a small child inside

Two men were arrested after they shot inside of an occupied home with a small child inside Saturday, April 28.

Onslow County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call on McGinity Court in Midway Park Saturday after several shots were fired. Officials said a small child and several people were inside the home during the shooting.

21-year-old Philip Rogers of Paddock Place in Jacksonville and Taliesin Grey Beaufort-Jiminez, 19, of Plow Point Lane in Jacksonville, were arrested and are facing the following charges:

Phillip Rogers was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, felony conspiracy to discharge a firearm into an occupied dwelling, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. He was transported to the Onslow County Detention Center under a $50,000 unsecured bond.

Taliesin Grey Beaufort-Jimenez was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, felony conspiracy to discharge a firearm into an occupied dwelling, discharging firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, going armed to the terror of the public, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, manufacture schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling to keep and use controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Onslow County Jail under a $56,000 secured bond.
